SMU Women Teams Site

In order to facilitate more regular discussions and sharing of ideas, we have established an SMU team site with a few different channels.

  • General—general announcements, reaching out to connect with others (who’s interested in meeting for coffee….) etc
  • Events- I am frequently asked to forward upcoming events to the listserve. I’m pretty careful about spamming the listserve though since so many people are on it.  So feel free to post the information to this channel for people to see
  • Motivation—I love great quotes and great ideas.  Let’s share those in that channel…including great book recommendations!

The good news is that you can avoid email notifications and simply have all activity appear in the teams app. You can even silence the notifications or channels that you don't want to see.  The app can be downloaded on a device—or you can simply login through your web browser. 

Joining the team:

  1. Launch Teams on your phone or desktop.  For install instructions visit smu.edu/teams
  2. Click Join or Create a team (plus sign on the top left).  Then select, join team.
  3. In the Join a team with a code, enter vubyd8a
  4. That should add you to the team.  Feel free to post something when you join! 

Reminder:

  • This is about connection and collaboration to help us all grow as women and develop our network at SMU.  Posts should be geared towards those goals.
  • This is not the appropriate vehicle for political, religious, or institutional commentary.  We should be mindful and inclusive of our full community and respectful of different viewpoints.
